Next up for our Summer Update is Luca Fabian. Luca is a Transfer from Georgia Tech, originally from Hungary, Pálháza.
Dear Crimson Racket Club,
I hope everyone is having a great summer. I am the next in line to share my journey that brought me to the University of Alabama, my second home.
Firstly, I have to say I love it here. And it’s not because of Summer Snow or Steel City Pops. Well, not just because of them. I had great time hiking and going to the lake with Andie, and watching the American National Women’s Softball team.
I realized it is not the town or the city that makes for a great experience, but rather who do you spend your time with. I am very lucky that I could spend this summer with my two amazing teammates and friends: Andie and Jacqueline. Coach Shelley, Coach Jenny and our Conditional coach, Ashton are the best. Ever. No surprises there. I am extremely grateful for them!
I had the fortune to meet with some of you over this month, and your support and enthusiasm are very motivating. I am looking forward to meeting you all and lead a successful season with this team.
One of my best memory is with Andie and Jackie. We were laughing together in the car about something silly, but I felt truly happy and blessed having them in my life.
I thought I would give you some background of my origins. Everyone fasten your imaginary seatbelts because we are going to a trip to Hungary, Pálháza. I have attached a few pictures of my family. They are very precious to me and without their love and support, I wouldn’t have had the courage to end up living on another continent.
I flew home a few days ago for the 2 weeks break before school starts again. My other best memory was coming home and having a water balloon fight with my family as a birthday surprise. We had so much fun! (I clearly won by the way.)
It is great being home, but I am itching to get back to work.
