Why did you choose to come play at Alabama?
University of Alabama is the perfect balance between tennis and academics. Both programs are very successful, which I saw as a great opportunity for me. Everyone was so kind and welcoming when I took a visit to UA. I also heard great things about coach Jenny and coach Shelley, and felt comfortable around them.
What are you most looking forward to about coming to play at Alabama this year?
I am looking forward to being a part of a great program with great people and making history with them.
What do you think you will bring to the Alabama Tennis Program?
I think I would add passion, competitive spirit and teamwork to the program.
What’s your favorite thing about playing college tennis?
My favorite part about college tennis is being a part of a team that pushes each other and helps each other get better.
Have you been watching Wimbledon? If so, who are your favorites to watch?
I have been watching Wimbledon. I love watching Roger Federer play. He is an unbelievable tennis player with a good attitude on and off the court.
Who do you think will win on the Men’s Side? On the Women’s Side?
On the men’s side I think Roger Federer has a good chance of winning it this year. On the women’s side it’s tough to say but I am cheering for Caroline Wozniacki.
You just had a birthday – how did you celebrate your birthday?
I had class, but after class I went to a Brazilian barbeque restaurant with my friends.
What have you been up to this summer?
I have been taking summer classes while training over the summer. I am just trying to get ready for the season.
