Hi Crimson Racket Club!

Here’s your next Alabama Women’s Tennis Summer Update from Ann Selim –  Junior from Cairo, Egypt (resides near Irvine, California)

Hi everyone!

I hope this email finds you well.

This summer has been a lot of fun and hard work! As Luca mentioned I went to New York with Alba and Luca in the beginning of summer. It was a lot of fun, I got to visit Central Park, Times Square, The Statue of Liberty, and many other fun places in New York.

After New York the girls came to California with me for 2 weeks! It was nice to have the girls, showing them around and getting them to meet my family and friends. My mom made a lot of Egyptian foods, which was great because I really missed it. It was fun working out and playing tennis with the girls and then going to the beach or to the mall at night.

As some of you might know, I am a mechanical engineering major so I had to take a Chemistry class this summer. So it’s been a busy summer studying, playing tennis, and working out. But it paid off and I finished class last week! It’s been a lot of fun working hard and being home with my family and friends.  I played a tournament over the summer and I have another one this weekend! Wish me luck, and I hope you are having a great summer!

Roll Tide!
