Hi Crimson Racket Club!   J

Next up for our Summer Update is Sophomore Jacqueline Pelletier.  Jac is a Transfer from St. Mary’s College in California.

Hi Everyone!

Hope all of your summer’s have been fantastic! I have spent the last month here in T-town with Andie and Lu taking two summer classes, working out hard, and training on the courts!!! It’s been great getting to know them and I am ecstatic to be teammates with them! It has truly been home away from home with supporters like Martha and Ashley (from the Lu crew, grounds crew) coming out to watch Lu and I play the Alabama Summer Circuit Tournament. We were both able to after having losses in singles come back to win the doubles! Over the course of just a month I have improved so much thanks to working with all of the Coach’s; Jenny, Shelley, Ashton! With the positive energy and really great work everyone has put in over the summer I’m so excited to be meeting all of my teammates in the fall. We are headed for really great things and I am so excited we will be able to share this journey with y’all! I am so incredibly grateful to be a part of the Bama Family.

Today was our last day in summer school ! Woohoo! I will be heading back to Hilton Head, South Carolina to spend the next two weeks with my family (mom, dad, and two younger brothers Beau and Pierce). Beau will be joining the Men’s Tennis Team at Clemson as a freshman in fall, so it will be good to see him before football kicks off!!! Then, I will return to T-town for the fall. One really great learning experience I wanted to share happened as I was taking my Business Calculus class. Math being a bit of a challenge for me, I went to class every day to learn and spent most nights at the tutoring center. Our class started with about 19 students the first week attending class, dwindled to about 9 the second week, in the middle of the third 6, to at the end of the third week there was only myself and two others. I was preparing to take the final when I was leaving class, I spoke with the professor. To my surprise he congratulated me having calculated an idea of my average for having gotten an A in the class and informed me I would not have to take the final! He really appreciated that I came to class every day and was paying attention as most students were on their phones or laptops, I learned a valuable lesson to trust in the work your putting in and good things will happen (even if you don’t think people are noticing) you are making an impact!!! Roll Tide ! I attached a picture of my math professor and me.
